What to Do Before You Arrive at a Northern Beaches Emergency Vet

Keep your pet calm, warm and as still as possible - gently confine cats and small dogs to a carrier or box.
If your pet has been poisoned, bring the packet, plant or substance so the vet can identify it.
Apply gentle, steady pressure with a clean cloth to any heavy bleeding while you travel.
Do not give human medication or food unless a vet has told you to.
