Dr Christopher Sun BVSc MPhil MRCVS

I graduated from the University of Sydney Faculty of Veterinary Science in 2010 and achieved a Masters of Philosophy by thesis from the University of Queensland in Epidemiology in 2016. I initially spent four years working with horses and other large and small animals in Melbourne, Perth, Macau, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. After I returned to Sydney, I worked for the RSPCA before starting up a small animal practice on the North Shore which I managed for two years. I joined the Sydney Animal Hospitals family in mid 2017 as the Superintendent.

My main passion is animal behaviour and I have particular interest in early social interactions and behavioural problems in anxious dogs and cats. I am preparing to undertake the Australian and New Zealand Membership examinations in the next few years. I also have an interest in oncology, medicine and surgery and have continually improved my knowledge through several University of Sydney Continual Professional Development courses. Away from work, I enjoy keeping active and go hiking around Sydney as well as spend time with my family and Larry the cat. Larry also acts as my alarm and wakes me up every morning at 6 am without fail.
