Dr Markus Mander

Dr Markus Mander BVSc graduated from the University of Pretoria Vet School in 1996 and in Multivet Small Animal Practice in the UK. Markus immigrated to Australia in 2001 and completed a postgraduate study in small animal medicine.

His interests include small animal internal medicine, especially those ‘heaven only knows what’s going on’ cases, soft tissue and orthopaedic (cruciate and patella luxation) surgery.

When not working he spends time with his family. He enjoys golf, mountain biking and kite surfing.

Dr Vicki Rumbold BVSc (Hons) is a Veterinary Surgeon at Sydney Animal Hospitals Kellyville with more than seven years of experience in veterinary medicine. Vicki graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004 with a BVSc (Hons)(1st Class).

Vicki worked for two years in a rural mixed animal practice in Griffith (Riverina, NSW). She enjoys interacting with pet owners and their companions and has a special interest in surgery, in particular soft tissue surgery. Her pets include a continuously hungry and very vocal short-haired cat called Narla and five goldfish that live with one catfish.

Dr Kathy Fearnside

Dr Kathy Fearnside BVSc (Hons) is a Veterinary Surgeon at Sydney Animal Hospitals Kellyville with more than 11 years experience in veterinary medicine. Kathy graduated from the University of Sydney in 1999 with a BVSc (Hons) MACVSc (Avian Health). Kathy also worked for five years as a vet nurse prior to graduation. Her special interests are in avian veterinary medicine, small exotic mammals, canine and feline medicine and surgey. She also aims to improve the health and welfare of all avian patients.

Kathy lives with a number of furry and feathery friends, including: Ellie (an 11-year-old whippet x kelpie), Tiger (an 11-year-old tabby-torti), Sausage (a seven-year-old galah), Rocket (a four-year-old Mitchel cockatoo), George (a male sulphur-crested cockatoo), Tom and Katie (cocatiels), Jill and Banana (two large budgies), Charlie and Tarzan (two kakariki parrots), two canaries, two finches, two galahs and, to top it all off, one husbund.
